Description of A Short Hike NSP:
A Short Hike NSP is a charming adventure game for the Nintendo Switch, developed by Adam Robinson. It features vibrant 8-bit graphics and music by Mark Sperling. In the game, you control a small bird trying to climb a mountain peak to find its mother. If this story doesn’t win you over, you’re not human!
Gameplay:
The player controls Claire, a humanoid bird capable of running, climbing, swimming, and flying in an open park. To reach the top, the player must find or purchase golden feathers, which grant them the ability to jump and climb rocky surfaces.
According to a sign on the path leading to Falcon Hill, the summit can only be reached with seven golden feathers. Once at the top, the player is free to explore the park and complete side activities as they please.

In addition to the main objective of the full game, “Short Trip,” other animals on the island offer various side quests and activities, such as fishing, finding lost items, and playing a volleyball-like minigame called “Beach Stickball.” Rewards for these activities include items like running shoes or a compass that enhances the player’s ability to explore the park. Players can also collect shells, sticks, coins, and other items to help complete these side quests.
The “Short Trip” download includes an interactive soundtrack that changes according to world events, such as the weather or the player’s actions, such as flying. It also features a dynamic camera created using Unity’s Cinemachine tool.
“Short Trip” has simple gameplay that doesn’t require much thinking. It was a very relaxing experience. There’s a beautiful island to explore; you can talk to other cute animals, go for walks, and enjoy the atmosphere.
