Description of F-Zero 99 NSP:

F-Zero 99 NSP is a free-to-play racing game for the Nintendo Switch, a spiritual extension of the classic 1990 F-Zero. Set in the distant future, the game pits players against each other in fast-paced, thrilling races, striving for first place while avoiding deadly traps and obstacles along the way.

The Racer of the Future Returns:

More than 20 years after the release of F-Zero, its spiritual successor, F-Zero 99, retains its core style and gameplay. You’ll compete against 98 other racers, and with that many, chaos is inevitable. Two main tournaments, the Grand Prix and the Mini Grand Prix, each with its own qualifying rounds, will take place.

In F-Zero 99, speed is key, and you’ll have the opportunity to outmaneuver your opponents using collectible power-ups and speed boosts. To increase the difficulty, collisions can become violent. Protect yourself with spin attacks to avoid losing speed due to sudden shifts and direct hits.

You can also collect Super Sparks, which create a special shortcut called the “Heavenly Lane” that lets you jump over multiple opponents. Other features include Team Battle and Career Path modes, a welcome break from traditional tournaments. Please note that this game is currently only available to Nintendo Switch Online members, so you will need to sign up to play.

The exciting F-Zero 99 NSP mode offers high-speed race tracks. Mini Prix and Grand Prix modes appear at specific times, allowing you to participate in a series of races and qualify for elimination rounds. Team Battle modes and intense Pro Track modes alternate throughout the day. Hone your skills in Practice mode and race against your own will.

Increase your skill points by performing spectacular races and completing missions to access customization options. Customize your F-ZERO vehicle with colors, decals, and effects to increase its speed. Achieve significant accomplishments on your Pilot Kart to unlock different backgrounds and special badges.
